Jim grew up in a musical family and started playing as soon as he was tall enough to reach the keyboard. After learning how to actually play songs on an old Emenee plastic guitar his parents got for him one Christmas, they figured they'd better get him a real one. In the late 60's, Jim saved his paper route money to buy a bass, because no one he knew had one, and every band needed one. Jim is self taught, and aside from horns and a full drum kit, he can pretty much get a tune out of everything.

Jim has played with a number of bands, including the Dady Brothers, Invasion, Explain This as well as a number of bands with our drummer Hank. A personal high point was being in the opening band for Chuck Berry in the mid-eighties. Now, with THE STAMPEDE BROTHERS, Jim's happy to be playing with musicians as proficient as himself, playing music people want to hear. You can contact Jim here.
